Everybody is welcome to participate. Please select an event you are interested in and go there directly or contact us in beforehand to register for the event.

Courses

* For students: Courses offering European perspectives can be recognized for the EU Studies Expert Certificate. Please ask your teacher if the course is part of the "EU Course Enrichment Grants".
* For teachers: Your course can receive funding from the EU JM Chair project, if you add European perspectives to your course. Students participating in your course can receive a EU Studies Expert Certificate. Please contact us to apply for the "EU Course Enrichment Grants".

Jean Monnet Salon

* Every Friday evening 7 pm - 9:15 pm teachers meet to chat about a European topic at Yuewangting Lu 38, Expert Building 1-102.

Jean Monnet Workshop

* Every Monday and Wednesday 11 am - 2:45 pm postgraduates meet to debate European topics at Jiayuan Western Coffee and Foreign Studies College, Rising Dragon Building, International Chinese Studies Center, #309.

* Every month on the 1st # 6:30 pm - 8:15 pm professor and students meet to debate European topics at Foreign Studies College, the Rising Dragon Building, International Chinese Studies Center.

Opening of the Jean Monnet Chair

October 13, 2020: Opening session of the Jean Monnet Chair in the International Chinese Studies Centre
At 2:00 pm, the Jean Monnet Chair was officially opened at the Centre. The Chair, Prof. Martin Woesler, welcomed guests like Prof. Martin Warnke, former Assoc. Prof. Margarete Chu and several student assistants.

JM Dialogue: European Woman's Day

Mar 6, 2022: JM Dialogue: European Woman's Day, with Multinational Circle, Shiguang Zhongxi Canting
From 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, professor Woelser held a talk on the theme of "Women's Day in Europe". He talked about the origins of Women's Day as well as the current ways in which different cultures celebrate Women's Day.

1st JM Volunteer-Meeting

March 8, 2022: The first meeting of the Jean Monnet Volunteer Conference with six MA and PhD volunteers of the International Center for Sinology at Office 309, the Rising Dragon Building
From 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, professor Woesler introduced the situation of the Center and the Jean Monnet project to the volunteers, discussed the relevant matters of the EU Jean Monnet Project Fund, and assigned them the recent work.

From 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, professor and students discussed the similarities and differences between the political systems of China and Europe.

From 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, professor Woesler is with the shadow play master He Huaiyu who comes from a family with a long tradition on shadow play. Professor Woesler was amazed by the He’s persistence on shadow play. He considered it as a precious cultural heritage in the world.

Apr 28, 2022: A meeting collected 20,450 Euros from Europe
From 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, professor Woesler and the volunteers participated in the "China-EU Friendship" project fund-raising activity, which raised a total of 20,450 euros from Europe and helped 7 China-related projects.

From 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, professor Woesler led the volunteers to classify the books about Europe in the office according to their categories, divided into three categories: philosophy, history and literature, and established its own electronic library.
